Jaesook Lee

Jaesook Lee is a manager at Plan M Co., Ltd. She currently manages Social Progress Credit (SPC) program which gives out monetary incentives to social enterprises in proportion to the social impact they have generated. Her main responsibilities include social impact measurement in monetary value as well as data collection and analysis for the SPC program. She has recently worked with Korea Technology Finance Corporation to conduct research on impact measurement methodologies and how they can reflect future value of core technologies that tech startups use.

Jaesook has a great interest in specifying the current social impact assessment methodology in monetary value as well as learning about the strengths and limitations of different measurement methods in order to develop more robust assessment of impact. She is also interested in applying quantitative measurement to impact investing, to generate positive and measurable social impact alongside a financial return.

Before Jaesook joined Plan M, she was a project manager at an NGO that rescues and resettles North Korean refugees in South Korea. Her experiences included fundraising, volunteer management and communication, and such experiences in non-profit sector led her to develop keen interest in how to generate social impact more efficiently and effectively.

Jaesook holds a M.A in Conflict Resolution and Coexistence from Brandeis University and a B.A in Political Science from Yonsei University.
